The Eldorado was a personal luxury vehicle manufactured by Cadillac over six decades and eleven generations. It was, for some time, Cadillac’s flagship car, and even after it remained their second highest priced vehicle. From 1965-1972 the Eldorado carried the Fleetwood name. Convertible Eldorado’s were very popular in the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Cadillac Eldorado is a car that evokes prestige, quality, precision, and elegance. It was not simply a car, an Eldorado was a status symbol and the pride of American engineering. As Billy Joel informed the world, moving up meant ‘trading in his Chevy for Cadillac!” The Eldorado’s rein ended in 2002, when Cadillac ceased production. The cars remain highly sought after.
