The Honda Civic is a line of compact cars manufactured by Japanese automaker Honda. First introduced in 1972 as a two-door subcompact car, the Civic has gone through many generational changes, becoming larger and more expensive as the line has matured. Despite being a modest car, the Civic has become a favorite of the enthusiast community, who swap out interchangeable engines and trick out their Civics. Its affordability and great handling has made it a long time success worldwide. The Honda Civic EX was International Car of the Year in 2005, and has taken home car of the year accolades in Europe and Asia. Civics have also been used in racing since their inception, boasting a fairly impressive list of titles and victories.
