The Chrysler S platform is the platform which Chrysler manufactures their minivans on. The Chrysler minivan is the most popular minivan manufactured in America. The minivan platform has evolved through generations. Offering comfort and responsive handling, the minivan became an icon of soccer moms and dads tasked with lugging a handful kids and their gear around. In many ways the minivan surpassed the station wagon as the ideal family vehicle, offering a greater number of seats and hatch storage. Many models have removable seats, making them easy to convert into a hauling vehicle. Chrysler has manufactured minivans under the Chrysler, Dodge, and now Volkswagen name plates. It is a niche market that Chrysler has dominated.
