9. Toyota MR2

The Toyota MR2 is a two seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car that was built by Toyota from 1984 to 2007. The MR2 was designed to be a small, economical and sporty car. When it first was released, the MR2 featured MacPherson strut front and rear suspensions and a transverse mounted four cylinder engine. The original engine produced 112 horsepower. Over time the engine was beefed up, with the first generation MR2 eventually being sold with a supercharger. The MR2 is very popular with tuners, due to the small size engine swaps are common. This brings the power output and speed of the MR2 to new heights, making it a formidable race car. In the final year of the first generation MR2’s run, Toyota released a “Super Edition” that had all the features of the top of the line MR2 as well as extra features like a MOMO-commissioned steering wheel and gear knob, Recaro “Milano” seats with matching door panels, and “SUPER EDITION” decals on the rear visor and side stripes
