Auction price: $14,300,000

On November 21, 2013, a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM 6107 sold for $14,300,000 USD at RM Auctions located in New York City. The auction price makes it one of the most expensive cars sold publicly. The car is one of the best examples of the company’s first mid-engined automobile, and it finished first in class and 8th overall at the 1968 ’24 Hours of Daytona’ event. The car is considered to be rarer than other famous models of Ferrari produced in this era, and it is powered by a V-12 engine rated at 320 horsepower supported by a five-speed gearbox, disc brakes, and four-wheel suspension. The car was the 24th of only a total of 32 produced of the 250 LM, and the car was not purchased for racing by the original owner who used it on the open roads of California.
