11. 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa

On May 17, 2009 a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa was sold for $12,402,500 at RM Auctions in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The sale made the car one of the most expensive autos sold at auction. The car had an eight-year career racing internationally before being pulled from the track, and it is powered by a 2,953 CC Tipo 128 LM SOHC V-12 engine supported by six Weber 38 DCN carburetors. The engine is rated at 300 BHP when running at 7,200 RPM and drives a four-speed manual gearbox. The Testa Rossa also has four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes and sports an independent front suspension with A-Arms and coil springs.
