On August 21, 2011 a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa sold for $16,390,000 USD making it one of the most expensive autos to be sold during a car auction at Gooding & Company located in Pebble Beach, California. The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is powered by a 2,953 CC Tipo 128 LM SOHC V-12 engine that is supported by 38 DCN carburetors. The car’s engine is rated at 300 BHP when at 7,200 RPM, and it also includes a four-speed manual gearbox as well as four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. The 1957 edition of the auto also includes a De Dion tube rear axle with transverse leaf springs and an independent front suspension with A-Arms and coil springs.
