5. Geely 7151 CK (2006)

The Geely 7151 CK was the first Chinese automobile to ever be displayed at an American auto show. The goal was to sell them in Puerto Rico first and then being selling in America a year later. However the vehicle failed to pass IIHS and NHTSA safety tests and the plans were halted. The vehicles did manage to sell in Cuba and were used by government officials, but they are known for being unreliable. The model shown at the Detroit auto show was only shown to press, but it wasn’t well received as the design was outdated and the vehicle was lacking many safety features, most important of which was airbags. The vehicle did poorly in crash tests, receiving a zero out of four stars for adult safety and two out of four for child safety.
