10. Chevrolet Citation (1980)

It may have been one of the best selling cars in America at one point, but demand for the vehicle caused GM to rush building them and the vehicle quality suffered greatly. The vehicle was recalled nine times to correct safety issues with the brakes, steering, fuel system, front suspension, and electrical systems. The NHTSA rates the Citation as one of the most recalled vehicles of all time, they even tried to sue GM over some of these problems. The Citation also suffered from massive torque steer and had a tendency to lose control when braking heavily. GM even had the gall to give upgraded versions of the Citation to road testers and and unknowing Motor Trend ended up ranking the vehicle as their car of the year for 1980. How embarrassing.
