9. Jeep Renegade Concept (2008)

Thankfully the Jeep Renegade that went into production looked nothing like the bizarre concept that Jeep unveiled in 2008. The lime green vehicle looked like something from a cartoon rather than a vehicle you would drive down the road. The roofless vehicle had a short windshield that didn’t cover the driver’s face, which was odd considering it looked like something you would drive around on sand dunes. Mechanically the vehicle seemed great, four wheel drive, tight steering, and a proposed lithium-ion battery pack to power the electric motor system. The vehicle was small too, only a few inches longer than a MINI Cooper. This two-seater never saw production and Jeep used the Renegade name on a much better designed and built SUV.
