Mitsubishi i-MiEV

This certainly came as a surprise. The compact electric/hybrid Mitsubishi I-MiEV gave hope to the folks who were into hybrids, but soon enough it gave them disappointment as well. It came with an attractive price of 22,900 dollars, making it one of the most affordable electric vehicles. However, our advice is: don’t buy it. The overall impression is as if the car hasn’t been finished; it is not very comfortable, and it gets much worse than that: you will feel that it has problems with acceleration, and the ride is quite stiff. If you are charging it on a 110 V charger, it will take as many as twenty-one hours to charge! It is a bit better if you charge it on a 240 V charger, which reduces the charge time to some seven hours. The range is around 60 miles, which is not so bad, but you can get the same from some better cars in this class.
