9. Tire Rims and Wheels

Nothing makes a new car stand out than a nice set of tire rims and wheels. Auto dealers know this, and many have started to offer dealer upgrades to enhance the appearance of the automobile for shoppers before driving the vehicle off of the car lot. Similar to many other upgrades and services, consumers can commonly find the same or better quality rims, wheels, and tires at a third party shop in the local area. Not only will the components be cheaper to buy and install at another company, but they will generally keep their nice look and feel for a much longer timeframe than those purchased at the dealership. Third party shops typically offer a greater range of options to choose from for new car owners than the limited ones stocked at the dealership.
