Other engines available for consumers to upgrade to in the vehicle include a turbo four rated at 280 horsepower and a turbo V-6 rated at 365 horsepower. The overall fuel economy of the Explorer is average to below average with a 16 MPG (city) and 22 MPG (highway) overall rating. The SUV can go from zero to 60 MPH in just 6.0 seconds with a top overall speed of 123 MPH.
