2015 Market share: 8.5%

One of the top selling car brands in the world is Nissan. The company saw a total sales volume of 1,484,918 autos in 2015 representing a 7.1% increase over calendar year 2014 sales. The Japanese auto manufacturer also saw an 8.5% market share for the year. The December sales volume for Nissan was 111,318 cars sold which resulted in a net monthly increase in sales of 18.7% when compared to last year.  Some of the more popular car models sold by the company (by volume) include the Nissan Altima with a total of 333,398 cars sold for a net decrease of 0.7% compared to 2014, and the Nissan Sentra which saw 203,509 cars sold for a net increase of 11.0%.
