Total deaths per millions vehicles: 86

The Hyundai Accent 2-door auto was one of the most deadly on the roads with an overage of 86 deaths per million registered owners. The IIHS rated the 2011 model year of the vehicle as poor in side-crash tests, and there were a total of 20 driver deaths from rollover accidents involved with the model of car.

The vehicle is popular with consumers due to its overall low price point, nice fuel efficiency (38 MPG on the highway), and relatively roomy interior compared to how the auto looks from the outside. Hyundai has been working to update the Accent over the past several model years, and look for the overall safety record for the car to improve with time.
