Total deaths per millions vehicles: 99

The Chevrolet Aveo fell just shy of 100 driver deaths per million registered owners of the car at 99. When the IIHS tested the 2011 model year version of the car, it scored in the marginal rating for roof strength, head restraints, and side crash protection. The car is built for those who are ‘eco-minded,’ and it is powered by a 1.2 liter engine rated at 70/86 horsepower. Alternatively, consumers can choose to get the 1.4 liter (100 horsepower) or 1.6 liter (115 horsepower) engines for a bit more power for the automobile. When the auto was sold new, it was priced in between the $14-16 K USD range, and remains consistently priced on the used car market as it is no longer produced.
