The CT 200h is a hybrid electric car built by Lexus as a sport compact hatchback. The CT 200h is powered by the same 1.8-litre VVT ifour-cylinder gas engine as the one used in the Prius, producing 98 hp 105 lb-ft of torque, paired with electric motor/generators in the hybrid drive system; together the engine and electric motors produce 134 hp 153 lb-ft of torque along with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. This technology allows the CT 200h to achieve an EPA estimated 43 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. The CT 200h has four driving modes Normal, Sport, Eco and EV included on other hybrid drive vehicles. Sport mode adjusts the throttle and electric power steering settings, while reducing the usage of stability control and traction control, maximising the CT200h’s performance. EV mode generates zero emissions at the vehicle by using only the vehicles electric motors to drive the vehicle.
