The Rinspeed Squba is one of weirdest European cars of all time. The all-electric auto is a Lotus Elise submarine, and it is based on the Lotus Esprit from the James Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me. The British automobile design puts a twist on the classic car submarine design from the movies by going fully open top and allowing the passengers to breathe through scuba regulators. The concept car was first introduced to the public at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. When operational, when the vehicle is underwater, it can go approximately two MPH through the water. On the surface of the water, it can go just under four MPH, and on land, the top speed of the automobile is 75 MPH which lets the auto owner keep up on most motorways in Europe.
