The 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra R is one of the fastest Mustangs of all time. The car can go from zero to 60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds, and it can run the quarter-mile in 14.3 seconds at 99 MPH. There were only 107 of the Cobra R Mustangs built, and they were all powered by a 5.0 liter V-8 engine rated at 280 lb-ft of torque at 235 horsepower. Ford sold out of all of the pre-orders of the Cobra R in less than half a day; however, only one-third of the cars actually made it to the track as intended with the remainder being purchased for car collections.
