It was not that long ago that one had to pay significant cash to buy a Prius new. The Prius C is available for under $20,000 and includes most of the interior features that are found on the larger models of the popular auto. The subcompact hatchback version of the auto is built on top of a Toyota Yaris platform, and is powered by a 60 horsepower electric motor and a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine that is rated at 73 horsepower. The auto is rated at 53 MPG (city) which is one of the top-ratings of all electric and hybrid automobiles sold today.
