The Opel Speedster is a British built sports car sold by the German auto maker Opel and was sold in early 2000. The car is not available for purchase in the United States, and it has a number of sharp features to include side air intakes, a sharp front end, and an auto body made of glass-reinforced plastic. The two seat sports car was sold under both the Daewoo Speedster brand in Asia and the Vauxhaul VX220 brand in the U.K. The car is powered by a 2.2 liter engine originally used in the Opel Astra auto that is rated at 147 horsepower. Later, Open would produce a 2.0 liter turbo version of the engine rated at 200 horsepower that could go from zero to 60 MPH in just 4.7 seconds with a top overall vehicle speed of 150 MPH.
