The gasoline powered version of the 2016 Ram 1500 is another very fuel efficient truck. The Ram 1500 sees a 17 MPG (city) and 25 MPG (highway) overall rating, and it also features one of the smoothest rides of the new trucks sold in the market. The stock engine in the truck is a 3.6 liter V-6, but consumers can also choose to upgrade to a 5.7 liter Hemi V-8 rated at 395 horsepower if fuel economy is not the priority. The vehicle comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Drivers can also choose to upgrade to four-wheel drive when buying the truck new. The maximum towing rating for the Hemi is 10,640 lbs, and the truck has a top overall speed of 107 MPH.
