3. Ford Flex

To be fair, the Ford Flex is a weird looking vehicle. It looks like a cross between a Jeep Wagoneer and a Range Rover. Weird can be good though, as the Flex stands out among a sea of SUVs that all look the same. The Flex has room for seven passengers, plenty of cargo room, a great suspension, and a powerful 365 horsepower EcoBoost engine. Even though on paper it is better than the Ford Explorer, the Explorer outsells the Flex 9 to 1. Part of the blame should be placed with Ford itself, as their marketing campaign portrayed the Flex as a car for nightclubbing hipsters. In the end the Explorer switched to a similar layout to the Flex and put the final nail in the coffin. It’s unfortunate, as the Flex was the superior vehicle.
